We show below an interactive photo of the 138th Kentucky Derby. Use the control buttons or click on the expansion arrows at lower right to make the image full screen. The escape or back key will get you out of full screen. Although full screen is not available from these pages on iOS, pinch to zoom will work on touch sensitive devices. The focus is on the near field, you won't be able to resolve faces in the crowd, but the dirt kicked up by the horses is well resolved.

The interactive image is created using Aqueti's patent pending strategy for precomputing a super-resolved and then creating a hierarchical tile structure to serve just the part of the image necessary for the current display. The image size is increased by approximately an order of magnitude in the cloud server. As illustrated in the detail image below, super resolution is essential to understanding the image.
